Having trained as a design student I spent many years lending and developing my skill through teaching Art in both main stream and private education. Now with three young children of my own I have somehow made time to develop my own distinctive style.

I live and work near Dittisham, South Devon - an isolated location within farmland that opitomizes our immediate countryside. Natural forms play a large part in my inspiration and I am currently investigating the eccentric and playfull nature of animals. Capturing a vibrant and humerous understanding of my animal subjects I give an insight into their world and invariably a glimpse of how they may be looking back!

I paint in my home studio and work with mixed media from sketches and photographs taken on location. My style is direct and confident and is influenced specifically by the characher of the subject from the precise and sedate to the energetic and excitable.
